In her work with the OA Alliance, Juliana (Jula) Corrales focuses on providing creative direction, including developing the organization’s brand, creating effective communications strategies, and expanding the Alliance’s broader science communications efforts. Jula strengthens relationships with many of the OA Alliance’s Affiliate members by showcasing their work through innovative collaborations. She is inspired by the challenge to find new, creative ways of making the invisible visible in bringing ocean-climate issues to the public eye. 

Jula is a Costa Rican ocean advocate who focuses on uniting creativity with ocean conservation. With over a decade of experience in creative communications and a master’s degree in Sustainable Natural Resource Management, Jula elevates the branding and communications of NGOs and initiatives to better reflect the impact of their work. Her multidisciplinary experience at an international level gives a unique perspective that allows her to better engage with all stakeholders to create innovative communications products.
