The International Alliance to Combat Ocean Acidification (OA Alliance) is proud to be participating in the upcoming UN conference to implement Sustainable Development Goal 14: Conserve and sustainably use the oceans, seas and marine resources for sustainable development. The conference will convene at United Nations Headquarters in New York from 5 to 9 June 2017, coinciding with World Oceans Day. It aims to be a game changer in our collective efforts to reverse the decline in the health of our ocean for people, planet and prosperity. We will be at The Ocean Conference to announce our voluntary commitments to the implementation of United Nation’s Sustainable Development Goal 14.3 addressing ocean acidification and the threats it poses to their coastal resources.

We will also be calling on UN member nations to act on ocean acidification by making deeper commitments to reduce carbon emissions to protect the economic and cultural resources at risk in coastal communities around the world.
